I’m a 1993 graduate of Wingate University. I’ve been covering N.C. high school sports for over 25 years.

Over 150 athletes from the Southeast participated in the annual VTO Sports Elite 100 Football Showcase at Durham County Stadium in Durham (NC). The talent in the showcase was tremendous as all participants battled each other to get some exposure and most importantly proper techniques.

The VTO Sports Coaching staff is made up of former NFL and college players that know what it takes to get to the next level. The event was also huge as VTO Sports gave 3 invites to the Rivals Camp Series in Charlotte on April 17th.

This showcase brings in the top elite talent from the region competing against each other. Each position in the showcase had a Top 5 and an MVP.

VTO Head Coach Vince Jacobs had the following to say after the event, "It was a beautiful day for a football camp. The 150 athletes worked and competed the entire day. The DBs were the top group at the camp. The coaches said this was one of the most coachable groups of athletes that they had seen. We are thankful we were able to give 3 athletes opportunity to compete in Rivals Camp Series."
